Help Us Choose a Location for a Potential New Fatburger Honolulu

Speculation is running rampant about a potential new co-branded Fatburger/Buffalo’s Cafe that may open in the Honolulu area.

You may be aware that we’ve already opened a location on Maui as well as at Pearl Harbor on Oahu.

While we’re keeping mum on any sort of announcement for now, I wondered if my readers might have a suggested location? Know of a space that’s available? Hit me up on my contact page and let me know the details. You might just help Fatburger and Buffalo’s come to a location near you!

Fatburger and Buffalo’s Cafe Set to Continue International Growth in Malaysia

Over at, they have a great write-up concerning our expansion plans in Malaysia.

Here’s a snippet of what I had to say:

We are constantly trying to find new opportunities to grow internationally. We’re grateful to have a company like Eftech Lifestyle SDN BHD who is as dedicated to the brand as we are. Having great partners who share the same goals as us are a key factor to the growth of Fatburger and Buffalo’s Cafe.”

As the article suggests, we’ve made a deal with Eftech Lifestyle SDN BHD to develop 20 co-branded Fatburger and Buffalo’s Express units in the new Malaysian market.

Big news, indeed!

The Contra Costa Times Covers our Livermore Opening

It appears our newest bay area location is making news.

The Contra Costa Times is talking about our new Livermore, CA Fatburger location which opened about a month ago.

Popular made-to-order burger chain Fatburger has made a re-entry into the Northern California market with the opening of a new location in Livermore.

Situated inside a Chevron at 1025 N. Vasco Rd., the store is the 62-year-old company’s only franchise in the region and only the second Fatburger to share space with a gas station. The other is in Baker.

Company officials are considering it their official foray into the region. A Fatburger in Pleasant Hill — co-owned by rapper E-40 and former Oakland Raider Chester McClockton — closed in 2008.

The Livermore Fatburger opened its doors March 10 with 12 employees. Headquartered in Beverly Hills, Fatburger has 150 locations in 32 countries. A San Jose location is scheduled to open in April.

We also have a San Jose, CA location opening this month. Stay tuned!

What Are You Loving This Month?

Over at Fast Company, they have a regular column entitled “The Recommender,” in which they ask creative people in business what sort of devices, apps or tools in general they are loving this month.

I had an opportunity to chime in with my favorite devices at the moment. Here’s what I had to say, but please click through to see what the group recommended this month.

Lenovo ThinkVision LT1421. This travel monitor is light and has a screen that you can write on–excellent when you are on the go. I use it to sign documents and things of that nature. Mophie Juice Pack Plus: When you’re running from meeting to meeting, there’s no time to plug in your phone. This ensures that I don’t miss an important call.”

I’m often traveling internationally, so these two devices are always with me when I’m on the road.

San Jose California Fatburger Location is Coming Soon!

You may have heard that we’re bringing Fatburger back to the bay area with our first NorCal Fatburger Restaurant opening in Livermore, CA. Yet, that’s just a start, because we’re opening a 2nd location in San Jose this month.

Located at 788 N. King Road near King/Maybury Roads in San Jose, our newest Fatburger should be up and running in late April. Here’s what the San Jose Mercury News had to say about our new location:

Hamburger heaven: For hamburger fiends who waited, oh, decades for Southern California’s In-N-Out Burger to expand to the Bay Area, there’s juicy news: Rival Fatburger is finally here. Or back again, if you count the Pleasant Hill location that was open for a brief shining moment not many years ago.

Besides hamburgers sized like T-shirts (S, M, L, XL, XXL or XXXL), Fatburger serves chicken sandwiches, hot dogs, turkey burgers, veggie burgers, onion rings, fries in both fat and skinny versions, chili, a wedge salad and several flavors of milkshakes. You can customize your burger or sandwich with a dozen add-ons, from A.1. sauce to guacamole to grilled mushrooms. Now, let the burger wars begin anew.”

If you’re in the San Jose area, we hope to see you soon!

Introducing the Strawnana Milkshake and the Big Smoky BBQ Fatburger

I’m always excited to share new Limited Time Offers (or LTO’s in the restaurant biz) that are up and coming at Fatburger Restaurants. Our LTO menu items are always amazing, but this time around? I really feel these new menu items are going to blow the doors off of anything else out there in fast food/fast casual.

Here’s the scoop direct from Fast Casual Magazine, who I had an opportunity to speak with recently:

The Strawnana Milkshake is a marriage of banana and strawberry flavors with three scoops of ice cream and strawberries topped off whipped cream. The Big Smoky BBQ Fatburger elevates the signature Fatburger with a sweet and savory smokehouse dressing drizzled over a flavorful patty with lettuce and tomatoes.

The bold Big Smoky BBQ Fatburger and the Strawnana Milkshake are delicious additions to our menu and enhance our already diverse offerings. We strive to continually reinvent classic items with new, appetizing twists that we are certain our millions of Fatburger fans will enjoy.”

Feeling hungry yet? Stop by your local Fatburger sometime soon — these offers are only on the menu from April 7-July 7!

Fatburger to Open its First Gas Station Location

First, we offered co-branded Buffalo’s Cafe and Fatburger restaurants. But today, we’re doing something totally different: a Fatburger co-located with a gas station. It’s all happening in Livermore, CA, in Northern California. This will be our first co-location of this nature, but rest assured, it’s going to be the full Fatburger experience.

Here’s what I had to say on the topic to CSP Magazine (Convenience Store and Fuel News):

Through our opening in Livermore, we hope to provide an easy, accessible way for the community to grab their burgers on the go. Expanding into areas where there are currently no stores is part of the daily commitment we make to all Fatburger fans. We look forward to re-establishing ourselves in the Northern California market.”

If you’re in the bay area, get ready, our cooked-to-order burgers are coming soon.
