Philippines, Here We Come!

Morning Metro Manila

I am proud to say that Fatburger and Buffalo’s Cafe are officially coming to the Philippines! We signed a master development agreement with Trimark Holdings Inc., a retail operator throughout the Philippines with a portfolio of more than 40 brands and 300 stores. Because the economy in the Philippines has seen significant growth in the past few years, this shows a great amount of potential for both of our restaurants. Due to Trimark Holdings being so familiar with brand expansion in the country, we will be able to better connect with our audience resulting in our menu being well received.

Next time you’re vacationing, take a trip to the Philippines and stop by a Fatburger or Buffalo’s Cafe!

Robots in our Restaurants?

No, we are not hiring robots to take over employees at Fatburger. But apparently, this is something that is happening worldwide! We are, however, testing tablet systems at our Buffalo’s Cafe locations. I think that tablets have a place at the table, but it’s pretty hard to ask questions, get suggestions from a tablet. I don’t think they replace a server, they make a server more efficient. We’re selling hamburgers shakes and fries, and customers want to talk to somebody and say, ‘Here’s how I want it.’ So I think in the hospitality industry, to assume that technology will take the place of workers is a false assumption. So don’t worry, we’re not hiring robots just yet!

I am proud to announce that we have opened our first European site in London’s Camden! As global demand for our products grows, it became time to bring the Fatburger and Buffalo’s Express experience to Europe! As London is such a dynamic city, I am confident that tourists and locals alike will enjoy our delicious American cuisine.

Where do you think we should expand to next?

Super Bowl Sunday & 1.25 Billion Chicken Wings

buffalosDid you know that Americans eat a whopping 1.25 billion chicken wings on Super Bowl Sunday? We can thank MarketWatch for that interesting fact!

Since the first game in 1967, Super Bowl Sunday has turned into much more than a game; it’s become its own unofficial holiday. This game day holiday gives Americans everywhere an excuse to throw parties and enjoy some delicious food at home in front of the TV. Looking back, sports fanatics could simply show up to the Super Bowl party with chips and dip and call it a day.

This couldn’t be farther from the truth today! In today’s foodie culture, ordering out and ordering specialty items is the new go-to. We anticipated selling over 32,000 wings in our Buffalo’s Café stores this past Sunday which just proves the point. That’s a whole lot of to-go orders and a whole lot of wings!
